Double Start Single Helix Toothed Auger
Kelly Box - Top end of the solid steel mandril is squared & inserted into the kelly box thus giving maximum resistance to shear. The box is manufactured from heavy plate to suit customers' dimensions.
Flights - The dummy start & the lead flight are manufactured from 40mm thick plate with succeeding flights 30mm thick. All flights are hot pressed to eliminate the tendency for crack formation during pressing.
Teeth - To suit customers' requirements.
Robust construction. Excellent for use with slow rev., high torque machines with hydraulic crowd. Built on two pitch systems which allows maximum clearance for the passage of 'lump spoil' over the dummy wing flight. These augers are particularly recommended where the reduced pitch to diameter ratio will reduce spoil slip.
