Diameters from 400mm upwards are manufactured as standard and are of an exceptionally clean design requiring the minimum of maintenance.
The shell height is standard at 900mm and the overall height is 1450mm.
The lock mechanism is simple and self-clearing and a self-actuated safety hook locks the lever in the closed position. Automatic lock mechanisms are available as an optional extra.
The hinged bottom of the drill is 50mm thick flat plate with two intake aperatures bevelled to facilitate the entry of spoil and fited with flaps allowing viscous spoil to be removed.
The torque is transmitted through a strong hinge and recessed lock box.
The Kelly Box, to suite customers' dimensions, and the bridge are fabricated from heavy plate.
The lower section of the casing and the edge of the door are hard surfaced to resist wear.
